Regional Sustainable Development

Coffe PlantThe Twinning Agreement stipulates that "Both Provinces are together learning what it means to work apostolically at a regional level, and so both desire that this agreement assist them in making significant advances in this direction. The Regional Sustainable Development Program (RDS), inaugurated in 2004 by the Colombian Province in the southern part of that country, and the program that will be begun by the Oregon Province, are both exceptional opportunities for the this type of research and cooperation. Moreover, these two programs will be enriched by the experience of international cooperation that was begun several years ago by Seattle University in Nicaragua and by Gonzaga University in Colombia."

The links on this page will keep you updated on the progress of both the Colombian and Oregon projects on RSD. They will also connect you with resources on sustainable development.
